How to Create a Story Widget

Detailed Steps to Create a Story Widget:

Step 1: Create a New WidgetSection titled Step%201%3A%20Create%20a%20New%20Widget

In the sidebar navigation menu, click on the “Story Bubbles” tab. This will open the story widget view. Locate the button labeled “Create New Widget” and click it to create a new widget.

Step 2: Name Your WidgetSection titled Step%202%3A%20Name%20Your%20Widget

Give your widget a name in the provided field. Once you’ve entered a name, click the “Create” button to save your new widget.

Step 3: Add Videos to WidgetSection titled Step%203%3A%20Add%20Videos%20to%20Widget

Click the “Configure Widget” button to open the widget details view. There, you’ll find the “Add Videos to Widget” button. Click it to open the video selection interface and choose the videos for your story widget.

Step 4: Save Your Video SelectionsSection titled Step%204%3A%20%20Save%20Your%20Video%20Selections

Select the videos you want to include in your story. After making your selections, click the “Add to Widget” button. This will add the selected videos to your story widget and save your changes.

Step 5: Choose Your Widget’s Display LocationSection titled Step%205%3A%20Choose%20Your%20Widget%u2019s%20Display%20Location

Choose where your story widget will appear on your website. You have three options:

• Homepage: Display the story prominently on your main page for maximum visibility. Ideal for showcasing key content or promotions.
• Product Page: Embed the story within individual product pages to highlight related products, additional details, or testimonials, enhancing the shopping experience.
• Collection Page: Place the story on collection pages to spotlight specific product groups or promote related items within a category.

Select the option that best fits your needs.

After selecting your display location, click “Save” to confirm your choice and place the story widget on your website.

Step 7: Shopify Theme CustomizationSection titled Step%207%3A%20Shopify%20Theme%20Customization

Open Shopify Theme Customizer (GoTo Shopify Admin -> Online Store -> click on Customize button).

Step 8: Add a New SectionSection titled Step%208%3A%20Add%20a%20New%20Section

In the Shopify theme editor, click “Add Section” to create a space for your story widget.

Step 9: Select the AppSection titled Step%209%3A%20Select%20the%20App

Go to the Apps tab in the panel and search for the “Stories” app using the search bar.

Step 10: Save the Shopify ThemeSection titled Step%2010%3A%20Save%20the%20Shopify%20Theme

After selecting app, click “Save” to apply the changes. This will activate the story widget on your shopify theme and make it live on your website.
